Hi! I’m Shelley. Growing up my favorite books were biographies. I’ve always loved the power of people’s stories, and that is why I am a Certified StoryWay Guide. 

I’ve had the honor of interviewing and writing many Legacy stories. I’ve gained something from each one, but one of my favorites was the story of a man who escaped civil war in his country and came to the United States to begin a new life. This gentleman’s story is one of courage, strength, and resilience. Helping him tell that story, and knowing the impact it will have on others is a powerful and humbling experience! What a wonderful reminder of why I love what I do!

In addition to my work as a StoryWay Legacy Guide, my passion is inspiring women and youth to uncover and pursue their God-given purpose and identity as an inspirational speaker. My own book, Beautiful Ashes – Finding Freedom to Fly Through Faith was published in 2018, and shares my story of brokenness to restoration. 

My hubby, Mike and I spend our free time traveling, going to concerts, and enjoying our nine grandchildren. Our best days are spent with our large, blended family. It’s noisy and messy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
